WE ARE WOODRIDGE

In case you missed it in the Beacon Journal earlier this year three sports writers chose the top ten moments in greater Akron school sports from 2025. Number one was Woodridge boys cross country team. The team won the division III state championship. Number three was wrestler Gavin Genovese who won the state championship 120- pound weight class. Number nine was Marissa Boone who won a silver in the 800-meter track and field meet. Congratulations to all of these athletes.

Cheer Youth Night was held on January 16, 2026 at the Woodridge Junior Varsity Basketball game. Roughly 70 young cheerleaders participated. Following the JV game, the varsity team dominated Ravenna 73-35
