ADAM SHEGA EARNS EAGLE SCOUT

In January 2007 Adam Shega earned the rank of Eagle Scout in Troop 371. In May he will participate in an Eagle Court of Honor for his accomplishments. Adam earned over twenty-one merit badges and has served his troop in a number of leadership roles.

Adam participated in the 75th anniversary celebration of the Boston Township High School in May 2006. The Woodridge Band (Adam plays saxophone) played and marched in a parade and then performed the Alma Mater in the gym for all of the past graduates and guests. Adam felt that a commemorative garden and plaque should be placed at the school honoring this special event. He planned a garden in between the bus turnaround and parking lot at the Woodridge Intermediate School. He worked with the Woodridge Schools Superintendent and the grounds manager to plan the size and location of the garden. Doug Mayer assisted him with grinding the stone to prepare it for the plaque. Installation of the garden began in October 2006 and was completed with the placement of the rock and plaque in January 2007.

Adam is the son of John and Joann Shega. Congratulations, Adam on your many accomplishments.
