PENINSULA MIX

Deborah Roznovsky (her name means “a rose blooming”) grew up in Richfield and now lives in the former home of the late Polly Nakonency on Bronson Street.

She has a bachelor’s degree in music education from the Ohio State University and a master’s degree in performance, mainly classical music, at Cleveland State where she learned classical music from William Hebert of the Cleveland Orchestra, and Jazz flute with Neil Cregue at Cleveland State University. Jazz flutist Jean Pierre Rampal has also been a strong influence in her career. She performs and gives private lessons in classical flute and piccolo.

Deborah wishes we all could know that Cleveland Orchestra, “which is right in our own backyard,” is one of the three highest ranking orchestras of the world along with Vienna and Munich.

She is also on the Board of the Greater Cleveland Flute Society which promotes and sponsors their big event: The New Music Concert, which features the music of living composers of flute music.
