To the Editors:
I would like to make a correction to my letter in the last issue. I misquoted Kirby Date, who referred to Peninsula's Long Range Plan, and not the resulting Zoning Ordinance, as "state of the art". Further, Councilman Schneider was probably correct in describing the Ordinance as "complicated". I meant to delete this sentence, but instead the sentence following, which described Council's actions to attempt to throw out the current Ordinance in favor of the 1991 version, was deleted instead.
By its nature, zoning is complicated, even some of the old 1991 Ordinance. We should be working together to make sure it's as clear as possible and applied fairly.
