AROUND THE COMMUNITY
I had the opportunity to visit with Tina Thompson Hunkele recently in town for her father’s funeral. Tina, husband Mark and sons Andrew and Ryan live in what is left of Columbus, Indiana. The flooding in the Midwest destroyed quite a bit of their house and while they were in Peninsula friends in Columbus were cleaning and rebuilding what they could. Tina and Mark are living in a mobile home and hope to be back in their home before school starts. Andrew and Ryan are dividing their time between Grandma Carol and Mark’s parents. Tina is employed by Columbus Regional Hospital, which also sustained damages. The hospital is expected to reopen in seven months.
Please keep Carol Thompson in your prayers. She had heart surgery on July 17th.
