Bees are an important and vital part of our environment; they ensure healthy flowers and the harvest of fruits and vegetables. Providing patches of flowers is something we can all do to improve the environment for these important insects. One of the great things about creating a foraging habitat is not only does it help bees and other pollinators but it makes a beautiful place for people.

In that vein The Peninsula Home and Garden Club is offering FREE seeds to the Boston Community and Peninsula residents. To help bees and other pollinators, like butterflies, we are offering a range of plant seeds that will provide a succession of flowers and thus pollen and nectar throughout the whole growing season.

If you are interested in receiving these seeds for planting on your property please contact our coordinator for this project at 330-657-2252. This will help us know how many packages to prepare. They will be available for pick-up on April 30, 2013 at the Peninsula Library
