FOURTH OF JULY 2013
Two hundred thirty-seven years is the age of our great Republic. It is a nation of great diversity made up of people from all over the world. The ideal found in the pledge of allegiance animates the life of our unique great Nation. The words are simple and profound. They are “…with liberty and justice for all.” Whatever the mode of celebration
chosen to mark our heritage, whether it is picnics, fireworks or parades, may it also include moments of reflection and affirmation of the ideal given to us in our pledge of allegiance to the Red, White and Blue. Is not the ideal of each citizen: liberty and justice bound together as our destiny? Is this not the hope of the past, the present, and the future of every citizen? Justice is the way to peace. Liberty is the basis of a freedom for every individual and their inalienable rights.
