BOSTON TOWNSHIP’S MEDAL OF HONOR WINNER
Thirty residents of Boston Township served in the Second Ohio Cavalry Regiment. Civil War historian and author John Gurnish will speak about the unit and the four Congressional Medals of Honor awarded its members. Boston Township resident William Richardson received his medal for valor shown during the battle of Sayler’s Creek in April of 1865. Mark your calendar for this observance of the 150th anniversary, Saturday April 18 at Boston Township Hall.
