To the Editors:

I found the recent Peninsula Planning Commission meeting (April 28) to be very informative and encouraging. A representative from Summit County Department of Environmental Services shared plans with attendees, for a new waste water solution for downtown.

It's imperative that we address sewage issues once and for all; ensuring our community is relevant and sustainable for generations to come.

Based on what I heard at the meeting, it sounds like we are on the right path to reach our goals. I particularly like the idea of waste being treated within our boundaries. This demonstrates ownership of our impact on the environment in which we chose to work, live, play and raise our families.

It will not be simple or easy, but we are a strong, creative and resourceful community. We can make this happen.
