BOSTON TOWNSHIP

The township minutes are posted on our website at www.bostontownship.org and outside the fiscal office at the Boston Township Hall. Our meetings are covered by the Westside Leader.

ZONING: Lida Flowers Brandt submitted her resignation from the zoning commission and position as secretary to the zoning commission and board of zoning appeals. The Trustees accepted her resignation with regret. Lida has been a member of the zoning commission for over twenty-five years and has been has been secretary to both boards since 2008.

We have two open positions on our Zoning Commission, an open alternate position to the Zoning Commission, and an opening for the Zoning Secretary position. If you are interested please contact one of the trustees.

MEETING NOTES: Bill Roemer, republican candidate for Summit County executive attended the March 9, 2016 meeting.

The Trustees discussed possible radio upgrades for the road department.

Mark Majewski of Northstar Planning will be attending the April 13, 2016 township meeting to discuss planning for the Route 8 corridor. Both zoning boards are invited to attend as well as any members of the community. His presentation is expected to begin at 7:00PM.

The Trustees agreed to purchase two new ``Welcome to Boston Township`` signs for Akron-Cleveland Road.

Speedy recovery wishes to township Zoning Inspector and Assistant Road Superintendent Doug Mayer. In order to help out during this time, Paul Baker was hired as Assistant Zoning Inspector.

A Board of Zoning Appeals hearing was scheduled for March 22, 2016 regarding a fence located at 2358 Boston Mills Road.
