Classic Movie Night at 6:30PM on June 1: The African Queen

Surfs up! Presented by Bill Brauning on June 6 at 7PM

Early 1960's pop music was influenced by a completely original West Coast style of music called Surf music, primarily instrumental in its early form. Early groups playing this sound were The Ventures, Dick Dale, The Safaris, then later, The Beach Boys and Jan and Dean. Come soak in the sun with this truly American sound. Third Thursday Yoga on June 15 from 6:30 to 7:30PM
Strengthen and stretch at the library in this program lead by a Nirvana Yoga instructor. This class will include yoga poses, breathing exercises, and meditation. Please wear comfortable clothes to work out in and bring a towel or yoga mat if possible. Learn about the benefits of yoga as you practice it. Donation at the door, minimum of $6 is suggested. Please call the library to register today as there are only 18 spots available. This program is sponsored by the Friends of the Library

Fly Fishing for Beginners on June 24 at 10:00AM
Whether you're after bass & bluegill at a local pond, or stalking brown trout on the Battenkill or Henry's Fork, this class will give you the basic skills needed to be successful. Jim Sexton, a fly fisherman of over 30 years, teaches this introductory fly casting class that will enable you to master equipment and techniques that are useful for all species of fish, no matter where you wet a line. A brief classroom session focuses on fly fishing gear, terminology, knot tying, hook sizes, and the physics of the cast; the remainder of the class will be held outside for casting instruction where each student will learn at their own pace. You will quickly gain the confidence needed to excel in this great outdoor sport. Equipment provided if needed. Reservations are requested as the class is limited to 3 students.

Ice Cream Social on June 25 from 2:00 to 4:00PM
The Peninsula Library and the Peninsula Library Foundation would like to invite everyone to join us on Story Book Terrace at the Library for our annual ice cream social. We'll have ice cream and music for the whole family! Join us for an entertaining afternoon of music and ice cream.
