The mission of the Peninsula Village Planning Commission is to look years ahead and plan our community in a manner that maintains our unique charm and character, as well as assuring we are sustainable and relevant for many generations to come. A major part of that effort is the update of the Village`s Long Range Plan (LRP). Residents are encouraged to get involved in the Long Range Planning process by attending meetings, sharing ideas and corresponding with Village and Planning officials. There will also be future informational meetings where community input will be solicited. For reference, a copy of the LRP may be found at the Library. Long Range Plan Meetings (First Monday of the month typically):
October 1 Facilities & Services, Future Land Use (pp62-80)
November 5 Implementation, Zoning (pp81-95)
December 3 Zoning (Review Text Amendments)
January 7 Zoning (Review Text Amendments)

In addition to the Long Range Plan, the commission continues to work on planning topics including Transportation / Traffic Flow (parking, safety, comfort, pedestrian traffic), Historic Zoning, Wastewater Treatment, Zoning, Flooding in the Multi-Use district and Infrastructure.
