As the directives regarding Covid-19 have been lifted, it has become possible for the Boston Township Hall Committee (BTHC) to plan for a reopening of the community rooms in the buildings. At a special meeting of the BTHC held on June 10, it was decided to reopen the community rooms as of July 5, 2021. Todd Clarke, who had been a trustee of BTHC, resigned from the committee to accept the position of Events Manager. Todd will be taking over from Kim Hammond who had done a truly remarkable job in that position until Covid shut the buildings down last year. In addition to Kim, much appreciation was also extended to Judy Lahoski, a member of BTHC since its inception in 1990. Judy, who completed her very long run as President of BTHC in May, has been succeeded by Chanah Spencer. Deep appreciation was also extended to Boston Township for the cooperation, assistance, and support during the difficult time last year. As the buildings are reopened, the BTHC can restart the maintenance program, including repairs to the siding and a new coat of paint. Other maintenance issues will be evaluated and a funding strategy for the needed tasks will be completed. We thank everyone for their patience during the past year and look forward to hosting community and family events in the months to come.
