Former township resident Phillip W. Brotzman passed away on May 14 at the age of 84. Phillip graduated from Boston High School in 1955 and went on to earn a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the Ohio State University. Phillip married Joan Cresci in 1968 and they made their home in Kansas City, Missouri. Phillip retired from Kimberly Clark in 2005. Preceded in death by his parents Phillip H. and E. Oneita Brotzman and wife Joan, he is survived by children, Heather Sellers (Keith) and Christopher P. Brotzman (Christy); brother, Richard (Rosita); grandchildren, Andrew Wyckoff and Eston Brotzman; and two step-grandsons, Christopher and Matthew Sellers.

Condolences to Mary Rickenbacher (Bill) on the passing of her father, Harold O. Ruggles. Mr. Ruggles was a 1943 graduate of Stow High School. He served in the United States Army serving in the Pacific Theater. Mr. Ruggles was employed by Shell Oil where his career sent him to several cities in Ohio and Florissant, Missouri. When he returned to Ohio, he owned and operated Plaza Shell in Kent. This location then became Ruggles Amoco. He retired in 1987.

Mr. Ruggles is survived by Mary Lou, his wife of over 72 years; five children, ten grandchildren, and nine great-grandchildren.

Last month we reported on the passing of Chester Balinski. Mr. Balinski`s wife, Dorothy, passed away May 27 at the age of 98. Our condolences to the Balinski family.
