This is not about freedom
or personal choice,
it's about protecting
yourself and those around
you, the people you
work with, the people
you care about,
the people you love.
My job as president is
to protect all Americans.

BOSTON TOWNSHIP

The Township minutes are posted on our website at www.bostontownship.org and outside the fiscal office at the Boston Township Hall. Meetings are covered by the West Side Leader. Trustee meetings are the second and fourth Wednesday of the month. Zoning commission meets the second Tuesday of the month and the Board of Zoning Appeals meets the fourth Tuesday of the month.

Road Department: Starting October 18 and lasting through December 10, the road department will be vacuuming up leaves as they begin to fall. Leaves should be piled off the road pavement and should not include branches or other debris. Although it has been repeatedly delayed, the trustees are still hopeful that the new plow truck, which was partially secured through the Volkswagen diesel settlement program, will arrive soon. Road Superintendent Dave Krusinski and Deputy Fiscal Officer Catherine Anson are working on a grant application through ODOT for work on township roads.

Zoning Updates: At the Zoning Commission meeting held September 14, the members voted to send the changes to the Summit County Planning Commission for their review and comment. The county planning commission will meet on October 21 at 3:00PM. When their comments have been received, the zoning commission will schedule a hearing followed by a similar hearing held by the township trustees.

Buildings and Grounds: As with most things during the reopening process, activities are slowly returning to the Boston Township Hall Committee`s three event rooms. The layout and capacity of the rooms can be seen on their website: bostontownshiphall.org . Work is continuing on the exterior of the wood building as repairs are made to the siding. Eventually the building will be painted as well. Also, the trustees approved the chip and sealing of the lower parking lot which will then be restriped.

November 2 Election: As with the most recent elections, the November 2nd election will be held in the Township Trustees` meeting room. This allows for the best flow of voters into and out of the polls.
